Zentai literally means 'full body' in the Japanese language and this new fashion pattern entails wearing spandex zentai suits as a form of entertainment or relaxation.
Zentai suits are different from regular lycra catsuits which are designed for dance. Ordinary catsuits usually have stirrup feet where as these new style cheap zentai suits from Japan not just cover the feet, a lot like a pair of pantyhose would, they also cover the hands and sometimes the actual head as well. Everyone knows precisely how comfortable lycra is and it's no secret that it feels nice against the your skin which is why this fresh practice of putting on zentai suits for pleasure is not surprising.
Unlike usual catsuits which are usually only obtainable in standard colors, zentai suits can be found in several super hero styles. That actually seems quite weird to me but no doubt there are a lot of people around the world who like to dress up as their own favorite super hero like Spiderman for instance.
This particular trend has long been popular now for sometime in Asia but it's only recently that it has started to become popular in other places around the globe. It's no longer just performers and exercise buffs that can appreciate the great things about lycra and spandex. Although this particular new trend of zentai suits appears to be focused around the glossy appearance and sleek texture of lycra rather than it's other benefits.
