The most important benefit of having a night course is that you can see how your learning is going compared to other folks in the class. You may also get fast response from your trainer.
There are a number of disadvantages though. If you are leaning faster than other people in your course, then you may become impatient with the pace, as the instructor will have to make certain the other members of your class attain your level prior to moving on, and this can be very annoying.
There is also a possibility that you may miss one or more class's due to sickness, having to travel for work, or just other obligations such as children. Even if you miss just one class it can be hard to catch up to the rest of the class. I have seen people miss a class and then quit as they have found it too difficult to catch up.
Getting an online or audio course.
This is my most liked method, and one that I have personally used for a few topics. I realize that I can work at my own pace, allowing me to use my time to the best. With audio courses I realize that repetition is the key thing to learning, especially with languages. The excellent thing about audio courses is that you can place a cd or tape in your car when driving to office and the learning almost becomes like osmosis. You don't have to commit the time to this, as you are in the car anyway.
Even if you travel to the workplace by bus or train, a walkman or other such device will permit you to listen while on the move. Depending on how good your memory is, and how well you understand the subject at hand, whether learning to speak Spanish or learning basically anything, you can listen to every lesson as regular as you have to learn speak Spanish.
