An Incredible African Safari Afloat A Hot Air Balloon With Breathtaking Views Of The Plains Full With Wildlife.
An African safari is not finished without going on a ride on a hot air balloon.
In 1976, Alan Root and his wife Joan- wildlife film makers, used a hot air balloon to take picture clips of wild animals. It was much easier, to use the balloon to access areas where a vehicle could not reach, to film fantastic aerials of wild animals.
After that, the idea attracted the attention of guests who were ready to pay top-dollar for this once in a lifetime sensation. This gave rise to balloon safaris in Kenya Tanzania safaris.

We take 90 degrees turn and below we spot the heads of giraffes over the canopies of acacia trees as they browse the foliage, barely noticing us drifting in the air above.
After 1 hr afloat, the journey ends and a bouncy landing brings us back to the ground. At this point we creep out of the basket to a champagne breakfast. The beauty is that this breakfast happens in the wild, where ever you land, and it's made as you see with the burners that minutes before kept you hovering in the air. What a way to start our day!

If you're lucky you will climb higher above for the view of a lifetime. " the captain offers.
After the end year rains, the vegetation is dense green as we drive back to our camp viewing game en-route. It is such a contrast as these are the same plains which, in November, were golden, dried out and hash.
Suddenly we run into a mother cheetah marking her territory, spraying the area with urine. Finished, she scans our troupe and then makes a soft tweeting sound as she makes her way through the grass. Maybe she is searching for her litter.
The plains are teeming with elephants, buffaloes, topi, wildebeests and other antelopes and the sight is just impressive.
